Kiwanis Projects

Kiwanis Manor of Tiffin, Inc.
This non-profit organization - A 10-story 98 unit, apartment complex and community center for senior citizens. Facility opened February 4, 1972, with 135 apartments. It was constructed through a government loan of $2.1 million dollars and is regulated through the US Department of Housing & Urban Development; Trustees are nominated from membership of Kiwanis Club.

Senior Community Center of Kiwanis Manor, Inc.
This non-profit corporation provides recreation, education and supportive services at Kiwanis Manor and occupies the entire first floor of the complex. Trustees are nominated from membership of the Kiwanis Club of Tiffin.

Ralph D. Hyall Kiwanis Endowment Foundation of Tiffin
This non-profit organization accepts gifts and administers Youth Achievement Awards annually Named for the long-lime Kiwanian, Ralph D. Hyatt.

Eldon Wert Awards
Honors outstanding leadership of students at Tiffin’s Junior High Schools. Named in honor of long-time Tiffin educator and Kiwanian, Eldon Wert.

Sponsored Youth
K-Kids, Builder’s Club, Key Club, Circle K Club and Aktion Club– all youth student groups at different levels of the education system promoting leadership.


Other Frequented Projects

The Kiwanis Club of Tiffin disburses over $10,000 annually to frequented projects or services such as:

Habitat for Humanity, Movies in the Park, Fire Prevention for Kids, Camp Nuhop, Children’s Christmas Fund, HOSPICE Youth Bereavement Camp, Ponytail Baseball League, Junior Achievement, Junior Fair Awards, Black Swamp Boy Scouts, Tiffin Seneca Public Library, Seneca County Opportunity Center, Ralph Hyatt Achievement Awards, Education Day at Tiffin Seneca Heritage Festival, Eldon Wert Awards, Kiwanis Magazine for library, Key Leader scholarships. Choke Tubes for Family Fest. Elementary School BUG Program, Seneca Co. Youth Center, Patchworks House and Family Children First Council.

One project however, will continue far into the future - providing housing and a program of living for our senior citizens through the construction of Kiwanis Manor.
